Mahalo nui loa to the entire HI ROOTS team for taking such incredible care of our family over the years! As a local military family living away from Hawaii, having people we could truly trust with our home meant everything to us.
From the very beginning, Peter's professionalism, honesty, and knowledge of the Hawaii market made our decision to work with HI ROOTS an easy one. Over the years, they managed our property with great care and later guided us through the sale of our home with the same level of dedication and support.
Their communication was always excellent, and Sean consistently went out of his way to accommodate the six-hour time difference whenever we needed to talk. Small things like that made a huge difference and showed how much they genuinely cared about their clients.
What could have been a stressful process from far away felt smooth and manageable because of their team. They treated us like ohana every step of the way, and we will always be grateful for the kindness, support, and aloha they showed our family.

As a first time buyer I had no clue what I was getting myself into, and doing my own research/ talking with friends and family only made me more confused. But after taking with Sean and Raullen, I was able to take the first steps and felt like I was finally heading in the right direction.
Their team was in contact with me basically everyday from the initial calls to viewing, step by step they explained everything, and anytime I had questions or needed recommendations they were always there to answer. They work with the purpose of supporting you, and communicate so well between each other and the other key people it takes to close on home, that within a month or 2 I was signing and handed my keys!!
It's been about a year since then, and I'm so thankful to them for being there and basically holding my hand through the whole process. I'll be sure to contact them again when the time comes!

One of my family members steered me to try HRR as they had 5-star ratings galore (note - I had not heard of this firm before). Long story short - they found me a great tenant who is still with the rental today. I am very appreciative that HRR keeps me up-to-date and informed of what goes on with the unit.
Fast forward to 2024 - I wanted to do a 1031 exchange for another rental unit. Not knowing much about this, Peter was a tremendous asset by (1) suggesting renovations to the existing unit in order to increase its value, (2) helping getting quotes and getting the renovations done, (3) selling the unit, (4) finding a replacement unit for the exchange, then (5) finding a tenant for the new unit. All of this in a time frame of less than six months. His knowledge and input really eased any stress that this process could have brought. I am greatly indebted to Peter, Sean and the HRR staff for this.

We eventually had to sell our property in Hawaii and we also worked with HI Roots Realty during that process. The transition to go into the sellers market from the rental market was seamless. These guys were great! I bought my townhouse in Waipio Gentry through them, and everything went very smoothly. Peter and Sean were both very knowledgeable, which was great since I knew absolutely nothing about real estate. They walked me step by step through all of the processes and put everything into layman's terms for me.
